Top 5 Beach Locations
Weather you are looking for a day trip beach spot, your next photo op location, or you want to book a photoshoot with me, here are my most popular beach locations!
Hearts Desire Beach
Located in Inverness California, Heart’s Desire Beach is fully equipped with picnic benches, grills, and calm low water safe for kids and pups! Heart’s Desire has $8 parking that can be paid with card, via your phone, or in cash. You can also park outside of the park and hike in and out at your leasier. The hike will be somewhat hilly, but covered with trees and comfortable with the ocean breeze. There are multiple trails that can be as short as 1 mile or longer depending on how far you want to go with little outlets with the perfect views. Cell Service is spotty.
Point Reyes Shipwreck
Located right next to the best little convenience store called the “Inverness Store”, this local treasure is a fun site to see… but you’ll have to check it out for yourself! plenty of comfy grassy spots to picnic, the prettiest stream, and surrounded by great local restaurants and stunning views. Parking is free, but limited and in the stores parking lot, so you may have to park down the road and walk in. Cell service is spotty.
Bean Hollow State Beach
Want to explore tide pools, rock formations, and the perfect tan sand? Bean Hollow State beach is the perfect spot to explore with the kids, fish with your loved ones, or just sit and watch the waves tumbling in along the Nor Cal Coast. The parking is free but minimal with little to no cell service, so come prepared!
China Beach
China Beach is a San Francisco hidden gem. This one is more for the adults, but is super fun to explore with its long stair path down to the beach, the rocky walls, and rock formations to climb. This beach is hit by high tide just after sunset, so please be safe. This beach has an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear day! Parking is free and there is minimal cell service down at the beach.
Poplar Beach
Poplar beach is an extension of Half Moon Bay State beach with $5 parking, large porta potties, and a trail from beyond Half Moon Bay State Beach all the way to a wooded area and grassy field with pretty bridges and dreamy groves. Beach access is easy and the wooded grove is about a mile out to the left as you are facing the beach from the parking lot. There is cell service in the parking lot.
